Harbor House Visitor Guide
Demonstration content — fictional facts for retrieval testing. Harbor House and every procedure below are invented.
Arrival and reception
Harbor House opens its public entrance at 8:10 a.m. Monday through Thursday and at 9:20 a.m. on Friday. The west doors are decorative and remain locked. Day visitors enter through the south atrium, sign the linen register, and receive a temporary brass-colored badge. Visitors arriving after 6:40 p.m. must use the east bell and state the phrase silver harbor to the evening steward. The steward will confirm the host’s surname before releasing the door.
Rooms and movement
The Blue Reading Room is on level two beside the narrow stair. The Cedar Room is at garden level and should not be confused with the Cedar Workshop. A blue folder left at reception is treated as lost property, not as an Atlas Club credential, unless it carries the stamped compass seal. Guests attending Rainline Events should keep their orange envelope because it contains the departure card and accessibility contact.
Quiet window
Harbor House observes a phone-call quiet window from 1:15 to 2:00 p.m. Calls should be taken in the courtyard or the glass vestibule. Conversation in meeting rooms may continue at ordinary volume. This rule is different from the machinery quiet window at Cedar Workshop and the delivery quiet window used by Orchard Field Shipping.
Access and assistance
The south atrium has a step-free entrance. Anyone needing low-sensory arrival can request the Copper Finch path, which replaces the linen register with a private tablet check-in. The evening steward can also lower the bell volume. Service animals may enter every public room; the garden level has a water station near the lift.
Departure and exceptions
Temporary badges go into the round return tray. If the tray is full, hand the badge to the steward rather than placing it inside an orange envelope. A guest who cannot locate a host after ten minutes should contact Compass Support and provide the visit code printed beneath the badge number. Emergencies use local emergency services, not the fictional support route.
