Orchard Field Shipping Guide

Demonstration content — fictional facts for retrieval testing. Orchard Field is a fictional carrier.

Dispatch speeds

Standard parcels leave within three business days, while priority parcels leave by the next business day when ordered before 2:20 p.m. The promise concerns dispatch, not arrival. Orders after the cutoff begin counting on the following business day. Saturdays count only for local seed packets, never for crates.

Delivery quiet window

The neighborhood delivery quiet window runs from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Drivers may complete an already-started doorstep handoff but cannot begin a new loading operation. This differs from Harbor House calls and Cedar Workshop machinery. Search should use the delivery context and not return whichever quiet window appears first.

Labels and packages

The blue folder pouch holds the manifest for multi-crate shipments. It must stay attached to crate one. An orange envelope means signature documents are enclosed; Blue Lantern uses an orange envelope for return paperwork, which follows different rules. Never place keys or medication in either carrier pouch.

Exceptions

Weather at the north depot may add 36 hours after acceptance. A priority parcel delayed by weather remains priority when movement resumes. Address corrections are allowed until the loading scan, after which Compass Support must contact the route steward. An incorrect postal code is not automatically corrected from a customer’s browsing location.

Returns and events

Blue Lantern return collection occurs Monday and Thursday. Rainline event equipment should use the venue code as the second address line. If a shipment contains accessibility equipment, the label also includes the Copper Finch triangle so event staff can route it without opening the package.
